The aquarium light is only for display and not required for the fish. Therefore, we ask the light to be on a maximum of 7 hours per day. (For school holidays, please leave the light turned off).
Column Aquariums – the light switch is on the back of the hood.
Cabinet style aquariums – the light switch is in the cabinet area. Cabinet tanks can also be fitted with a light timer.
If the aquarium light is left on by mistake, do not be alarmed, but this will contribute to algae growth and will make the aquarium unsightly until the next service. If the light is on continuously for a few days or more, then the top area of the aquarium will produce a brown unsightly algae growth. Please understand, we cannot make an extra visit because of this.
